The PM restates Pakistan’s intention to strengthen its bilateral relations with Turkey

He was speaking with Dr. Mehmet Pacaci, the Turkish ambassador, who was in Islamabad today to pay the prime minister a courtesy call.

He underlined that both nations have excellent bilateral connections that are unwavering and founded on a common history, religion, and culture. According to the prime minister, both nations must cooperate in order to meet the yearly goal of $5 billion in bilateral commerce.

The prime minister stated that Pakistan greatly values Turkiye’s steadfast and unwavering support for the oppressed people of Indian-illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on fundamental concerns. In addition, he reiterated Pakistan’s backing for Turkiye in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus dispute.

The ambassador of Turkiye wished the prime minister well on his reelection, congratulated him on his win, and underlined the value of fortifying the brotherly bonds that unite the two nations.

The Prime Minister expressed his sincere gratitude for President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s call and message of congratulations upon his reelection.

He complimented Turkiye on the successful flying of the fifth generation fighter aircraft, the KAAN, in this regard.

The Prime Minister extended President Erdogan’s offer to come to Pakistan once more.

The people of Pakistan, according to Shehbaz Sharif, are looking forward to the visit, which will give both parties a beneficial chance to conduct in-depth talks during the 7th session of the High Level Strategic Coordination Council.
