Student gives ‘surprise’ birth after rushing to toilet with abdominal pain

A university student in the United Kingdom was taken by surprise when she rushed to the toilet due to abdominal pain but gave birth to a baby boy weighing three kilogrammes, the Independent reported.

Jess Davis, 20, said she had “no idea” about her pregnancy and had been considering the pain in her belly were period cramps.

Since she was home alone, Jess called her friend and later an ambulance that shifted her and the baby to a hospital. According to the doctors, the baby was born at 35 weeks gestation.

Another extraordinary thing about this unexpected childbirth was that Jess didn’t even have a baby bump or any other obvious symptom of pregnancy.

The publication quoted Jess as saying that her menstrual cycle had always been irregular so she didn’t notice that she hadn’t had a period in a while.

“It was the biggest shock of my life and I felt like dreaming,” the new mother said while recalling the day, June 11, when she welcomed her son.

However, Jess had got over the initial shock and created a bond with the little one.

An explosion in the Shahrag neighborhood of the Harnai region of Balochistan on Friday claimed the lives of at least 11 persons and injured a number more.

Police say the explosion happened close to a car that was transporting coal mine personnel. They said that numerous injured people are in critical condition.

After arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers began gathering evidence.

Eleven laborers were confirmed dead in the explosion by the deputy commissioner of Harnai. Swat and Shangla were responsible for the majority of the fatalities and injuries.

In five separate encounters in the region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces have killed thirteen Khwarij.
ISPR reports that security personnel carried out an intelligence-based operation in the general vicinity of Khulachi, Dera Ismail Khan District, in response to the reported presence of Khwarij.
During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the Khwarij Location, resultantly, Five Khwarij including Kharji Shah Gul Alias Rohani were sent to hell.
In two separate encounters in north Waziristan District, fire exchange took place between the security forces and Khwarij in general areas Dosali and Tappi. Resultantly, five Khwarij were effectively neutralized by own troops.

In another encounter that took place in Lakki Marwat District, Two Khwarij were sent to hell.
