According to specifics, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was among the seven Senate candidates who were proclaimed winners by the Pakistani Election Commission for general seats.

Ahad Cheema, Pervaiz Rashid, Nasir Mehmood, and Talal Chaudhry of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz were elected without opposition.

The ruling coalition’s Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi has also been chosen.

Hamid Khan and Raja Nasir Abbas of the Sunni Ittehad Council were elected to the Senate’s general seats.

There will now only be five Punjabi seats up for election: two reserved for technocrats, two for women, and one for minorities.

On April 02, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, voters will cast ballots for the Senate elections to fill open seats in the house in the National Assembly and four provincial legislatures.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has gained tickets for Anusha Rehman and Bushra Anjum Butt, while the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has nominated Faiza Malik, and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has nominated Sanam Javed for the Senate seats in Punjab.

The negotiations between the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on women’s seats in the next Senate election came to a standstill yesterday.

As the former government coalition parties were at a standstill over the seat allocation in the Punjab Senate election, PPP candidate Faiza Malik declined to withdraw from the race.
