PTI to create a grand coalition with other opposition parties

To create a broad coalition against the coalition government in power, opposition parties convened a joint consultative meeting on Tuesday, attended the conference and made the decision to start a protest against the government following Eidul Fitr.

PTI leaders Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Asad Qaiser, Liaquat Baloch of Jamaat-e-Islami, Mahmood Khan Achakzai of PkMAP, Akhtar Mengal of the BNP, and Allama Nasir Abbas of the MWM were present at the meeting.

Omar Ayub, the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, reportedly attended the meeting as well.

Stability in the external and fiscal sectors, along with large financial inflows, have helped Pakistan show a steady recovery in the first quarter of FY2024–25.

The October economic outlook from the Finance Ministry emphasizes encouraging developments, such as the 1.03 billion dollar first tranche from the IMF’s extended financial facility, which improves macroeconomic stability.

A 3.7 percent increase in total fertilizer production and a 115.9 percent increase in imports of agricultural gear are significant achievements.

In August 2024, large-scale manufacturing grew 4.7 percent month over month, even if it decreased by 0.2 percent in July and August of the same year.

September 2024 had a 44-month low of 6.9 percent consumer price index inflation, down from 31.4 percent the year before.

More than a thousand super seeders would be distributed to farmers around the province, according to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

At the Super Seeder Project’s launch ceremony, Chief Minister Maryam stated that the super seeder would solve the smog problem and that it is urgently necessary to do so.

Agriculture was important to the nation’s growth, she said, and the Punjab government will mechanize the industry.

In addition to providing farmers with equipment and sophisticated agricultural machinery, the Chief Minister indicated that farmers will be able to hire costly machinery at a reduced cost.

Additionally, farmers will have access to high-quality insecticides and fertilizers, she said.

Maryam Nawaz stated that cooperation is necessary for Green Punjab.
