‘Nobody will marry the children of MNAs’: Twitterati respond to PM’s statement

Following the open announcement by dissident PTI MNAs of their intent to vote in favor of the Opposition’s no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan, the political temperature in the country is soaring. Rhetoric from both sides [the Opposition and the government] is creating an environment of bitterness and uncertainty in the country.

Following his public campaign to counter the Opposition’s no-trust move through the masses’ pressure, Prime Minister Imran Khan lambasted dissident MNAs of the PTI – who had “sought refuge” at the Sindh House – and asked them to rejoin the party as he is ready to forgive them.

He was addressing a jalsa in the Dargai tehsil of the Malakand district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The premier took a jibe at dissident party MNAs and said: “You will not be able to attend public gatherings and no one will marry your children when they grow up.”

“We all make mistakes. Allah also forgives his slaves. I am just like a father figure to you all. But for God’s sake, don’t make such a big mistake [by joining hands with the corrupt Opposition]. Think about your children’s future,” said the PM.

Following the PM’s statement, Twitterati responded with hilarious memes.

Let’s take a look at some of these tweets:
