  • WhatsApp is testing new feature where users can share files as large as 2GB.
  • Currently, Whatsapp has limit of 100MB.
  • It will be tested with beta testers in Argentina.

WhatsApp will begin testing a new feature that lets users share media files up to 2GB in size, WABetaInfo reported.

According to the website, the Meta-owned company, while announcing the update, said that the feature will be tested in Argentina.

Currently, it is not possible on WhatsApp to share files that are larger than 100MB.

In this new test, however, some beta testers will be able to share larger files. This test will decide whether WhatsApp will make this a permanent feature.

Earlier this month, WhatsApp launched a feature where certain beta testers were given the ability to react to messages. It is now rolling out yet another “useful feature”.
