The United States will keep pushing for freedom of expression in Pakistan, according to US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller.

When Matthew Miller briefed the media in Washington on Monday, he stated that the United States will keep promoting both the rule of law and freedom of expression in Pakistan.

The US Secretary of State spoke with the Saudi Foreign Minister last week to discuss de-escalation in the Middle East, however Matthew Miller declined to comment on the visit.

According to Miller, we have persisted in collaborating with Saudi Arabia not only to temporarily reduce tensions but also to pursue a long-term normalization of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia that would bring years of peace and security to the area.
With the goal of luring billions of dollars in investment from the kingdom, Pakistan’s recently elected government welcomed a high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia earlier on Monday, which was led by Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

The delegation comprises of the following individuals: Bandar Ibrahim AlKhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources; Mohammed Mazyed Al Towaijri, Head of Saudi Special Committee; and senior officials from the Ministry of Energy and Saudi Fund for General Investments. The Saudi Minister of Water and Agriculture, Eng. Abdul Rahman Abdul Mohsen Al-Fadley, is also in attendance.
