KP Govt launches expat online driving license renewal

As per a notification from the office of the Inspector General of Police, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, all Pakistani citizens living abroad will need to send a digital copy of their passport, national identity card, expired driving license, recent medical fitness certificate, and fee challan to the relevant Embassy or High Commission via email.

The embassy will subsequently transmit the application to the office of the Inspector General of Police, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, using an official email.

Ali Amin Gandapur, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, emphasized the importance of abroad Pakistanis as significant resources for the country. He said that the province administration will make every effort to provide them with necessary support and assistance.

Punjab police recently introduced electronic driving licenses for residents throughout Punjab.

According to Inspector General (IG) of Punjab Police Usman Anwar, residents have the option to submit their driving license applications via the Driving License Information Management System (DLIMS) website.

According to him, the driving license can be obtained in PDF format and utilized for driving purposes.

The Inspector General of Punjab Police reported that over 3 million driving licenses were issued this year. Additionally, the number of driving license centers in Punjab expanded from 45 to 200.
