Khuzdar, Balochistan, and surrounding areas are shaken by earthquake

A 27-kilometer-deep earthquake with an epicenter close to the Khuzdar district was reported by the seismological center.

Frantically reciting Kalma-e-Tayyaba, people emerged from their homes. Still, there have been no reports of casualties or property damage from any area in Khuzdar as of yet.

Previous reports from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, and the surrounding areas indicated a moderate-level earthquake.

An earthquake caused tremors in the communities of Girdo, Lower Dir, Chitral, and Kohat. Girdo, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Swat, and Malakand districts all experienced similar earthquake activity.

The earthquake’s depth was 86 kilometers, and its magnitude was measured at 5.3 on the Richter Scale. Its epicenter was located near the border between Afghanistan and Tajikistan.

A scared public was prompted to flee their houses in search of safety by the earthquake.

In Balochistan, the Zhob district and its surrounding territories were rocked by another earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6.

The earthquake had a depth of 15 kilometers and a northern epicenter of 123 kilometers, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Center.

Still, no reports of fatalities or property damage have come from any area of Zhob thus far.
