Experts in international defence are very interested in the IDEAS 2024 show.

Speaking at the IDEAS 2024 opening ceremony, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif stated that the public-private sector cooperation will increase the efficiency and volume of defence exports and production.

According to him, there are a tonne of lucrative investment, joint venture, and trade prospects in Pakistan across all industries, including defence.

According to the minister, Pakistani defence products are vying for customers abroad. He went on to say that although we export some high-tech defence items to more than 60 nations, the volume of exports does not match their true potential.

Khawaja Asif said the 12th edition of IDEAS 2024 with a participation of start-ups and leading engineering and tech universities of Pakistan as well as defence experts and manufactures from across the world will prove to be a milestone in development of Pakistan’s defence industry.

According to Khawaja Asif, a defence ecosystem is being established via the IDEAS platform to facilitate communication between the public-private, industry, and academic sectors involved in defence development.

He stated that the government is committed to keeping the business climate favourable so that experts and human resources can be invested in this sector.

As a responsible state, Pakistan has always pledged to contribute to global peace, stability, and order, according to Khawaja Asif. According to him, the tenets of reciprocity, mutual interest, and international rules serve as the foundation for Pakistan’s bilateral and multilateral ties.

The Minister stated that in order to achieve regional peace, security, and socioeconomic development, cooperation and active participation of regional stakeholders are essential in the geostrategic change of South Asia.

He said Pakistan believes in meaningful dialogue on the basis of equality to resolve bilateral issues and advance peace and harmony in the region.

Khawaja Asif stated that Pakistan, along with its allies, is unwavering in its dedication to global peace and stability.
