Today’s trading session began with a strong upward trend on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), as the benchmark KSE-100 Index increased by 500 points to reach 92,525 points.

This rise follows the index closing at 92,021 points at the end of Thursday’s trading day, down 282 points.

In the currency market, the US dollar’s interbank rate fell four paisas to Rs277.85, while the Pakistani rupee rose little versus the US dollar.

In the interbank market, the dollar ended the last working day at Rs277.89.

More gains are expected in the upcoming sessions, which market observers ascribe to steady economic indications and heightened investor confidence.
